peru - medium roast washed process
We taste brown sugar, baking spices, and orange marmalade in this washed processed coffee from the Jaén Province of the Cajamarca District. One of our employees dubbed this coffee “the daily drinker”. Most of us have certain expectations of what should be a part of our daily routines. Coffee can be “out there” in the most beautiful way, but most of the time it feels more right to drink something that is in the “mean”, rather than sipping on the “standard deviation". So, for now we will call this coffee “the mean”, because the day will come when we release a coffee with a funky process that we will want to call “the standard deviation”. This coffee will give you the warm inner vibes you need in the morning, when life feels cold, and you will come to embrace the juicy mouthfeel and balanced finish of Peru Jaén Cajamarca.
Falcon Coffees: This coffee was sourced through Falcon North America. It is the belief of Falcon Coffees that “coffee provides us all with a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable smallholder agriculture”. Great socio-economic change can happen through improving the quality of coffee. When coffee quality increases, farmers receive premium prices, which is then reinvested into producing better crops. And when farmers are paid well, this will encourage better social and environmental practices.
Our mission and values at Bridge City inform every decision that we make in the coffee industry. Bridge City will not commoditize people along the supply chain, and Falcon Coffees gives us the confidence we need to move forward with green buying.
