WACO WHOLESALE PORTAL
the “why” behind waco
We know our growth and expansion must be done strategically.
Preserving our mission and culture, while also embracing the unique identity of each new location, is imperative to our growth. Although the place for expansion is important (we couldn’t be more PUMPED about you Waco!), the PEOPLE are what brings our mission and culture to life.

WHAT ABOUT THE LOGISTICS?
Aiming to #buildvalueandhope in people through coffee with each decision we make, Bridge City Waco is opening up some incredible new opportunities for us to improve our sourcing and partner farm support. As we did with our beginnings in the upstate of South Carolina, we have started with a focus on roasting and wholesale with the plan to open a storefront when the timing is right. We are thrilled by the opportunities that this new venture holds, knowing that valuing people and giving hope can not only transform individual lives, but translates into better business and a more vibrant city.
meet evan iluzada
Evan is our Director of Green Coffee and Waco Operations. He has been a good friend of our founder, Greg, since college. He and his family have been deeply rooted in the Waco community for the last decade, with Evan and his wife working at Baylor University. In 2015 he was introduced to specialty coffee, and became enamored with the culture and business behind it all. Fast forward a handful of years, and thousands of cups of coffee later, Evan began roasting coffee in a shed in his backyard (the same beginnings Bridge City had) while dreaming about a bigger future in coffee. In conversations throughout 2021, he and Greg found that though they both shared a love for quality coffee, more striking was their common vision for how coffee could impact people and communities. And as a result, @bridgecity_waco was launched!
meet the family
Evan and his wife, Christina, have been married since 2007. Christina works for Baylor Universtiy as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Business school.
Jude, their oldest, is into art, basketball, football, and is begrudgingly good at playing the keyboard! He is ultra silly and loves to laugh and make others laugh.
John, their youngest, loves being with people! In anything he does, he wants others to be present and participating with him. He currently loves building with legos, wrestling, and running without real purpose.
