What makes this coffee special?

We’re so excited to be able to roast and share the first natural processed lot of coffee to ever come out of Yepocapa, Guatemala! There’s a good chance you’ve never experienced a natural processed coffee out of Guatemala. It’s a relatively new processing method for the country and it’s especially new for Yepocapa. This was originally intended to be an experiment, overseen by Don Milo, one of the leaders in the Yepocapa farming community. Only 10 bags were produced and the farmers were blown away by the outcome! When our friend Ryan sent us a sample we couldn’t believe what we were tasting! With notes of blackberry, walnut, and nougat this coffee rivals some of the best natural processed coffees we’ve had. It’s a stunner! We only have a limited amount of this stuff, so get it while you can! In the photos you can see Don Milo having the chance to brew and taste this coffee for the first time. Most coffee farmers don’t get the chance to drink their coffee after it’s been exported. We’re thankful for Ryan and Yepocapa Coffee for bridging that gap by creating a solid relational model.

About the growers:

Last year the farmers of Yepocapa were able to export their coffee outside of the country for the first time. We were among a handful of the first roasters in the United States to have the privilege of roasting and sharing their coffee. We were so impressed with what they were able to accomplish and the quality of their work. This year, they’ve continued to push the envelope and we are honored to continue partnering with them!
