About the growers:

Ricaurte Cifuentes: Born in the village of Betulia, Antioquia. 2 sons, Camilo and Juan Esteban. Married to Orfilia. Uncle to 19 nephews, and a passionate lover of animals and nature. Worked in his family’s farm since he was a kid, he learned to grow coffee the way his grandpa did it. In his youth he migrated to the nearest metrópoli, Medellín, where he worked as a gardener for 19 years. He then took on a job as a manager of Oro en Pólvo, where he managed a specialty coffee farm of 600k coffee trees and over 120 employees. There he learned to grow, harvest, and produce specialty coffees. A meticulous gentlemen, with a strange sense of curiosity for small details, he then returned to his village, where he bought his dad’s farm and turned it into a specialty coffee farm. Now he teaches his cousins, nephews, and siblings to focus in quality. His motivation is to leave a better future for his sons. What keeps him awake is how to keep improving the processes at his farm. We’re honored to partner with Ricaurte and his family to bring you this wonderful coffee!
